Us
In
53 years of photographing over 2300 weddings, I would never
have believed that so many disasters could happen.
A few days ago
at one wedding the bride passed out before the wedding and
her mother was so flustered that she could not think straight.
It was all because the florist was two hours late. We came
up with a solution.
The next wedding
we did not get any photographs of the groom's father. He
was so drunk, he could not stand up and he left the wedding.
Can you imagine
what it is like to have five firemen in their firefighter's
clothes come rushing down the aisle and up on the alter
while the wedding is going on? The best man passed out and
they were afraid he was not going to live. Of course the
wedding was stopped.
One bride told
me she was going to frown on all the wedding photographs,
and she did.
How about the
bride who insisted that all of the photographs that she
was in would be taken from the back so her face did not
show. Her parents could not believe it. She was a pretty
girl.
I thought I must
have been sleeping at this next wedding. I did not get a
picture of the couple exchanging the rings. While the couple
was in the receiving line, I asked the Priest about the
exchanging of the rings. He said "O my gosh, I forgot."
He gathered up the bride, groom, best man and maid of honor
and back to the altar we went for the ring ceremony.
Believe it or
not we have seen these and many more problems at weddings
and I wonder what is going to happen next!
A person would
think that after photographing over 2300 weddings in 53
years, why not just retire and forget it. That is good,
except there are a lot of fine young people who are going
to be married and they would love to have a fun wedding
day without problems. So, why not share these 53 years of
information and help them have a Super Wedding Day.
